Ethereal Emporium's apparel, accessories, and homeware encourages all to embrace the magic of fiction in your everyday life. We are creating our own fantasy world, with new characters and stories to spark your imagination. 

 

But it all started long ago...

 

Becky and Britt developed Ethereal Emporium from our love of fantasy books and movies as kids. Some of our earliest memories are watching Disney Princess and Barbie movies, our favourites being Beauty and the Beast and Swan Lake.

 

Our parents used to read The Chronicles of Narnia and Roald Dahl books to us when we were young. Rainbow Magic was our favourite book when we were first learning to read. We started reading the Harry Potter series in the early 2000's and remember dressing up for the book and movie releases.

 

Carrying on the Harry Potter theme, we began our gaming journey with the Harry Potter computer games on Windows XP. In the mid-2000's we got our first gaming console for Christmas, a Playstation 2, and played Spyro relentlessly.

 

As we've grown up our tastes have gone into different niches.

 

  

After being obsessed with Disney, Barbie, and Harry Potter for my earliest years, Twilight was the next big story to impact my early teens. This is a series that truly stuck with me and is a part of my re-read list alongside Harry Potter.

 

I continued my passion for reading, some of my favourites being Outlander, Beautiful Creatures, The Hunger Games, Avatar the Last Airbender comics, The Mortal Instruments, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones.

 

Of course, I am also a huge fan of fantasy Movies and TV series. I have an endless amount of favourites, but to name a few, The Witcher, Narnia, Outlander, Vikings, and Maleficent are high on my list.

 

Gaming has also been a hobby of mine, playing games such as the Harry Potter PC games and Harry Potter Lego (of course), but I also enjoyed Alice Madness Returns and The Witcher games.

 

 

As I've grown up I've found a love for history, specifically from The Bronze Age to The Renaissance ( 3000 B.C. to A.D. 1600).

 

I continued my love of gaming, having played games such as Harry Potter and Fable on PC and God of War and Assassin's Creed on PlayStation.

 

I'm hugely passionate about reading, having re-read the Harry Potter series multiple times, and perusing other great series such as J. R. R. Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice, Philippa Gregory's Tudor series, and Wilbur Smith's Egyptian series to name a few. 

 

Movies and TV series have also played a huge part in my love of fantasy. Some of my favourite movies are Howls Moving Castle, Tangled, Princess and the Frog, and How To Train Your Dragon, and some of my favourite TV series are Pokemon, Avatar, The Crown, and Bridgeton.
